o Tell me about the last time you disciplined an employee. What was
involved? How did you proceed? What was your objective? What
success did you achieve?
o Considering the last time you had to terminate an employee, what
could have been done to prevent the termination? What could the
company have done better? What could you have done better?

• Education

o Of all your past educational experiences (formal and informal), which
ones were most helpful in qualifying you for this job? What kinds of
skills did you acquire as a result of that training?
o Describe a time when your education made a significant difference in
your accomplishments on the job. Be specific.

• Empathy

o Relate a story about a time when your ability to empathize with an
employee or customer really paid off. How well can you know what
someone else is feeling? What’s the difference between empathy and
sympathy?
o (Continuum) On a continuum between being empathetic to others and
being dogmatic about policy and procedure, where would you fit?
